Cherry Xinyi Qu
Cherry Qu is an accomplished New York-based designer and project manager with a dual Master of Architecture and MS in Real Estate Development from Columbia University. Initially focusing on facade restoration and historic preservation, Cherry found her passion in interior renovation construction, where she now excels in managing high-value projects ranging from $3 million to $6 million. Her role involves critical design decision-making, team management, and client and risk management, blending her robust skills in both intimate and extensive scales.
Outside her professional pursuits, Cherry is deeply engaged in the design and comedy community. With over a year of experience in improv at Nomad Theater, she not only performs but also serves as a design lead, crafting over 15 marketing and business development projects, including for notable productions like 'The President’s Invitation.' An active member of the Women’s Leadership Initiative within the Urban Land Institute, Cherry champions community building and female empowerment through her contributions to design strategy and leadership.
Driven by a passion for design thinking and societal contribution, Cherry aspires to continuously share her innovative perspectives, aiming to inspire and grow with the community around her.
